I hate road works! I really do, and not in the i hate cold coffee sense but in the i would erase it from ever existing if i could kinda way.
The already long trip from Mossel Bay to Robertson (how i've missed you) just got longet with not one but two roadwork stops. The first one wasn't that bad as we just hit the again after a stop at the engen (freshstop, 1stop, same thing). The second one: I wanted to die!
So now we're on the road and hopefully we passed all the roadblocks/works, you want to know why? Because home awaits and I am without a doubt, damn excited.
Update: You got to be shitting on my face! Number 3! Am I ever going to get home? I'm lank cranky now, be warned

22 Steps later... a place called Nicon
I will admit i'm quick to judge - but I believe most of you would've also upon seeing the entrance. Purple rain has nothing on this place that would make our favourite (and only) feel right at home -the place is purple, REALLY PURPLE.
The interior would've been acceptable if it wasn't for the purple people that occupied it. And by purple I mean dodge...beyond dodge. Luckily Ocean Basket came to the rescue with a less than impressive platter for one. The wine was good and made up for the average meal.
22 steps, a dodge crowd and an average platter later - I found myself at a friend of a friend's place on a very cozy couch watching She's got the look (don't judge) enjoying juice, even though wine would've been better.

22 Steps Later
Yes, I did count the steps upon entering a 'night club' as the sign read - the fact that it was afternoon should've been warning enough.

I'm leaving on a bus. No jetplane.
Finally! After a year and some months of partying, drama and one hell of a vacation i'm on my way to the bay - Mossel Bay.
Excited? Yes I am, and with good reason i'd say. While the Valley (Robertson) is my hometown and offers familiarity, the Bay offers the unknown, new adventures, new friends and hopefully a new job.
So follow me on my adventures (and non-adventures) as the Bay awaits.
